Elland goes under to Skelmanthorpe

ELLAND/MANCHESTER – ENGLAND: Elland Cricket Club went under to Skelmanthorpe by eight wickets in their third round Huddlesfield League clash at Elland on Saturday.
Ryan Robinson was in brilliant form striking a 61-ball 95 not out that took his team to an easy eight-wicket win, leaving Elland licking their wounds for the second weekend running.
Batting first, Elland had a good start before crashing to 188 all out. The consistent Kaleel Ahmed followed his 57 the weekend before with 31, while Faisal Javed made 35 and Kaden Lancaster 23. The chief destroyer was Paul Cummings who took 5/52, including the wicket of American import Zishawn Qureshi. Also among the wickets were Adam Rollin 3/37 and Allan Greenwood 2/43.
When Skelmanthorpe responded they half-century opening stand before losing two wickets. After the fall of Cummings who came back with the bat to score 52 and Adam Rollin, it was the Robinson show. He counted 95 not out off 61 balls with five sixes and 10 fours.
