Barnwell gives 22 Yards comeback win

SUNRISE/FL – Former West Indies and Royal Challengers Bangalore all-rounder Christopher Barnwell scored a robust unbeaten half-century to dig his team 22 Yards out of a hole and carried them to a six-wicket victory over Brampton Pacers as matches continued at the US Open T20 tournament on day three at the Central Broward Regional Park in Fort Lauderdale.
After Mark Deyal 31 and Sukhinder Singh 34 took Pacers to 128 all out, 22 Yards were expected to take an easy win. However, Deyal returned with the ball to scalp two victims and 22 Yards were reduced to 50/4 after eight overs.
It was at this point that Barnwell was joined by Javelle Glenn and they took the score to 132/4 in 17.3 overs. The duo added an unbroken 82 runs in 9.3 overs. Barnwell finished not out on an even 50 off 41 balls with three sixes and two fours, while Glenn notched 36 not out off 28 balls with two sixes and two fours.
