Teams vie for $25K in Chicago Cup

MARGATE/FL – USA: The 2021 Chicago Cup will carry a winning purse of $25,000 and will be played on July 4.
The tournament which will be hosted by Midwest Cricket Conference is under the umbrella of Cricket Council USA (CCUSA). Interested teams can go to www.cricketerbook.com and register for this tournament or they can contact the president of Midwest Cricket Conference Shiraz Najam.
Speaking about this tournament the chairman of CCUSA Mahammad Qureshi said: “We are all looking forward to this tournament and, we hope that by the time the tournament rolls around, things will be a bit more normal as far as the Covid 19 pandemic is concerned. “Shiraz has always done a splendid job in organizing this tournament a president of Midwest and, we expect nothing less. He has shown great leadership over the years and has a great group of players around him that has shown good commitment. We want to urge teams to register early because this is always better for the organizers.”
Najam, who has been a stalwart in cricket administration in the United States says that he expects a bumper tournament. “We are so happy that we have made the prize money this big. This will serve as a great motivation for teams to come out and fight hard. We have some wonderful teams with committed cricketers and they will be putting on a great show as expected.
“I will like to encourage all team owners and management to register early for this tournament because there will be a point when we have to close off due to the response.
“I would also like to thank Maq Qureshi for again assisting us with this tournament. Cricket in Chicago has never been the same with the arrival of Maq Qureshi on the scene.”
