DELRAY BEACH/FL – USA: The 2023 Maq T10/USA Nationals have been shifted to Maq Cricket Stadium in Delray Beach and will not be played at the Central Broward Regional Park as was the case previously.

The decision to shift the tournament further north comes as a result of the tremendous downpour that has been witnessed in Broward County over the past few weeks. The flooding has caused extensive damage to certain parts of Broward and a decision was made by the executive of Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) to have the matches shifted to the unaffected Maq Cricket Stadium.

Chairman of CCUSA Mahammad Qureshi explains: “We made the decision to take the game away from Broward because of the bad weather that the area has been experiencing. We know how much the teams look forward to playing this tournament and as a result we have decided that we are going to play in Delray Beach.

“A lot of development works have taken place at the Maq Stadium and we feel that the teams will be comfortable playing up there.”

The teams taking part this year are Titans Scorpions, Tampa Tigers, Mega Blasters, US Academy, Strikers, Miami Chargers, South India Tuskers and Pak Eagles. They will be vying for a top prize of US$10,000.

The cricket is expected to be of a high standard with teams preparing for quite a while to take part in the tournament.
