Legends W Cup allows 2 players 45 years old

The Legends World Cup committee has decided to lower the age limit to 45 years for two players on every team that is taking part in the tournament that is carded for Central Broward Regional Park in Fort Lauderdale.

This is the news coming to hand from Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) headquarters in Margate, Florida. The four teams competing for honors at the tournament will be USA, West Indies, Pakistan and India. The tournament begins on October 27 and will see talented players from the four countries taking part.

The tournament is a collaboration between CCUSA and the US Hall of Fame. After the tournament is completed the Hall will host their 2021 Hall of Fame dinner that will take place on Embassy Suites in Boca Raton on October 2.

Chairman of CCUSA Mahammad Qureshi told News925 that a decision has been taken to lower the age limit for two players, so that each team can bring in two players who are 45 overs or older. The rest of the team will have to be 50 years or older. According to Qureshi this has been in order to strengthen teams and make the tournament more competitive. “We are very keen to host this inaugural tournament and now when we bring two younger players it should add to the excitement.”

Registration for the tournament continues and players who are interested in playing can register at www.ccusa.info.
