Departmental cricketer Mubashar Hussain has decided to invest into the Hafizabad Stallions for the upcoming Major Cricket League (MCL) Pakistan.

This is a big move for him as he now finds himself in control of the ‘home’ team for the tournament. There will be a lot of expectations from the home fans as they will want to repeat as champions after winning the first edition two years ago.

Chairman of Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) Mahammad Qureshi welcomes Hussain onboard saying: “We welcome Hussain into the CCUSA fold as an investor in MCL Pakistan. It is great to see him giving back to the sport we all love. We all want what is best for Pakistan’s cricket and as such we are all investing in this magnificent project that will give our young cricketers a platform to showcase their talent.”

The action gets going on May 2 and ends with the grand finals on May 7, with all matches taking place at the Maq Cricket ground in Hafizabad. A total of six franchise teams will be taking part in the T20 series which promises to create great excitement amongst the fans in that part of Pakistan. Each team has investors/sponsors so the players will be well taken care off.

The winner of this tournament will pocked 500,000 Pakistani rupees and the runner-up will carry away 250,000 Pakistani rupees. The six franchises are Lahore Lions, Hafizabad Stallions, Karachi Sharks, Hyderabad Jaguars, Faisalabad Bears and Islamabad Tigers.
