SUNRISE/FL – USA: Guyanese batsman Trevon Griffith spanked an unbeaten 50 to guide his team 22 Yards to a seven-wicket victory over Afghan Zwanan in their latest match of the US Open T20 tournament at the Central Broward Regional Park in Fort Lauderdale on Wednesday night.
Chasing a small victory target of 103, Griffith rallied to 50 not out off 38 balls with two sixes and four fours to guide 22 Yards to 103/3 with six overs to spare.
Earlier, Jasdeep Singh was great with the ball as he snared 3/16 with former West Indies Test leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo supporting with 2/16. West Indies under-19 player and Guyana Amazon Warriors spinner Ashmead Nedd claimed 2/26 and there was able a two-wicket burst from Asad Ali.
