MARGATE/FL – USA: Cricket Council USA in collaboration with CARE/ACT hosted a very successful web seminar on Monday based on sporting bodies staying afloat during this COVID 19 Pandemic.
The seminar which was initiated by the chairman and CEO of CCUSA Mahammad Qureshi involved an audience from around the world and the feedback that came to the sporting body was that is was very useful and more of this is needed to help other sporting association chart a way forward in these choppy waters.
President of the T&T Cricket Board (TTCB) Azim Bassarath said he looked on and was very happy with the tips given by the professionals who were on hand to assist.
The session was coordinated by John Alexander Robertson of CARE/ACT. Qureshi given his wealth of knowledge and experience was one of the main contributors. The businessman has guided CCUSA successfully for the past 20 years.
A host of other well-distinguished contributors was also involved and they included Greg McElroy who is a sports league advisor, Matt Doherty a sports leadership speaker, Scott Miller an Ameriprise financial advisor, Joel Radtke a loan advisor, Shahab Kalam a small business/housing advisor with CARE, Hill Robertson a property tax and business tax appraisal advisor, Greg McDonald an asset
exchange advisor and Jonathan Lewis legal advisor of CARE.
According to Bassarath: “Although the guys spoke to situations specific to America and their business culture, there was enough in there for us to tailor to our situation in Trinidad. We are going to
adopt some of the useful advice and put it into practice so we can successfully move through this period of our lives.”
