CCUSA CEO Qureshi has audience with Microsoft CEO

Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) chief executive officer (CEO) Mahammad Qureshi held an audience with the chief executive officer of Microsoft Satya Nadella at the finals of the MLC over the weekend.

Both gentlemen were there to support the league as the inaugural MLC finals was played in front of a big crowd at Grand Prairie cricket stadium in Dallas, Texas. New York Mumbai Indians went on to win the title on the back of a magnificent 137 from West Indian Nicolas Pooran.

Qureshi who has done a lot for the development of cricket in the USA was hosted in the Council Mayor’s VIP Booth by Jorja Clemson  at the game and was fortunate to meet up with Nadella. According to Qureshi : “It is good to see big corporations supporting the development of cricket in the United States. We need this more than ever if we want to see the game go from strength to strength.

“My meeting with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella was very pleasant indeed and he seems very interested in assisting in building the game here.” Qureshi has one of the biggest leagues in North America the US Open T20 and has been hosting this since 2008. He has bankrolled this tournament and continues to do it because of his intention to build the game.
