MARGATE/FL- USA: All-rounder Zishawn Qureshi is looking forward to the inaugural MCL T20 President’s Cup which takes place in Orlando on February 13 and 14.
Speaking to News925 Qureshi said: “I am really looking forward to this tournament because it is the next major tournament for me since playing at the US Open T20 in December. I am leading the Orlando Stars and looking forward to getting back out there in a seriously competitive environment.
“I have been working on my fitness and really putting in the hours and I am looking forward to locking horns with the players there. This tournament is a good initiative and we need more like these in order to continuously improve our cricket.”
Qureshi has been in good form over the past few months getting quick runs and also taking big wickets. At the US Open T20 he got the wicket of Andre Russell and in his limited opportunities bowling to Chris Gayle, the Jamaican was unable to punish him.
The MCL T20 President’s Cup which falls under the umbrella of Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) will see four teams battle for honors. They are the Orlando Stars, Samp Army, Tampa Rebels, and Tampa Tigers.
There will be US$10,000 in cash prizes available for this tournament and in addition players will get a chance to be seen live across the world with MaqTv carrying the matches live.
