US Open T20 draft set for November 26

BOCA RATON/FL: The 2019 US Open T20 draft will take place on November 26 at Boca Raton Fort Lauderdale, USA.
This is the news coming from chairman of Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) Mahammad Qureshi. According to Qureshi: “We have gotten over 800 players from all over the world signed on for the draft and we have decided that we will stage the draft ‘live’ from Boca Raton on November 26.”
A number of cricketers from T&T have signed up for the draft and are expecting to get into teams to participate for a first prize of US$50,000. The tournament this year will be played from December 18 to 23. Last year the likes of Evin Lewis, Rayad Emrit, Sunil Narine, Samuel Badree, Nicolas Pooran and Mark Deyal took part.
Players from all over the world normally assemble at the Central Broward Regional Park for this very popular tournament. It is the biggest T20 tournament in North America and this is the 11th edition. Prior to the start of the tournament on the 18th, Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) the parent body will be hosting a gala dinner at the Hilton Double Tree Hotel in Sunrise to celebrate 20 years of existence.
