Mahammad Qureshi was in fine form for Team USA scoring an unbeaten 42 against the Chicago Catchers to take them to the finals of the 2023 MCL Chicago at the Warren Park in Chicago.
Needing a win to make it to the finals the defending champions defeated Catchers by nine wickets to book a place against Hyderabad Deccans.
Batting first Chicago made 85/8 off their allotted 15 overs with leg spinner Rizwan Mohammed taking 2/9 and off spinner Syed Hasan 2/16.
Qureshi opening the batting then went to work and scored 42 not out off 41 balls with five fours. He and fellow opener Naveed Ahmed 18 added 39 runs for the first wicket. Amir Kiani also batted well and scored 16 not out when the victory was formalized.
