MARGATE/FL – USA: Hard-hitting all-rounder Zishawn Qureshi continues to enjoy a dream season as he struck another half-century in a US Open T20 trial match on Sunday at the Maq Stadium in Delray Beach, Florida.
Winning the toss and batting first, Tigers made 96 all out in the 20-over affair. Playing for Coconut Creek Qureshi then slapped 60 off just 22 balls, seven of which he sent soaring over the ropes and two running into the boundary. Coconut Creek made light work of the target and got to victory for the loss of only one wicket in 6.4 overs.
This latest effort comes on the back of his magnificent tally of 175 runs on the opening day of trials last week. He then followed up with 82 on the second day and now his 62.
Pretty soon he will don the skipper’s hat to lead the US All Stars/Falcons/Smart Choice combo at the US Open T20 tournament.
SCORES: Tigers 96 all out vs Coconut Creek 98/1 (6.5) (Zishawn Qureshi 60) – Coconut Creek won by 9 wkts.
