MARGATE/FL – USA: Young batsman Zishawn Qureshi continues to score runs at will, as he scored 82 on the final day of the US Open T20 trials on Sunday at the Maq Cricket Stadium in Delray Beach Florida, USA.

The hard-hitting right-handed batsman had smacked a total of 175 runs the day before, getting 82 and 93, and then followed up with 82 on the Sunday. Qureshi has been in a purple patch scoring runs regularly this season. Speaking to News925 he said: “The Covid break has really given me time to reassess my game and refocus on what I want. I have done a lot of mental work in addition to physical work during the break and, this has given me renewed purpose.
“I have been enjoying my game and, I think this is the key to the success. I look forward to hitting the park and these days I leave with big scores on a regular basis.”
Looking towards his next big assignment which is the US Open T20, Qureshi said: “I am looking forward to the challenge. This is the biggest tournament for me, it is when I get a chance to go out there and mingle with international players. I know that the challenge will be tough but the confidence I have now is sure to put me in good stead.”
