Major Cricket League Chicago begins on Friday with one match at the Warren cricket field.

Defending champions in the C90 format team USA led by Mahammad Qureshi will come up against Hyderabad Deccan Cricket Club at 3.30pm.

This format of 15 overs with all the over being bowled from one end was introduced last year by Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) and has been a tremendous success.

This time around four teams will again be vying for the title in Chicago with the USA team starting as favorites. Apart from the USA team and the Hyderabad Deccan team there will also be Chicago Catchers and Noor CC. On Saturday there will be three matches and on Sunday there will be three as well with the finals included.

Chairman of Cricket Council USA Mahammad Qureshi is happy that the tournament will be taking part again in Chicago. “We are happy to be in Chicago to continue playing this format. The Cricket here has been good over the years and this format that we have tried has worked well. The game is short as the overs are all bowled from one end and there are no fielding restrictions. We are looking forward to great action again and I want to wish all the teams all the very best.”
