Deccan Hyderabad was in great form in the opening match of the 2023 MCL Chicago as they crushed Team USA by eight wickets at Warren cricket ground.
Batting first USA made only 118/7 off their 14 overs and this represented a slide as they had an opening partnership of 55 between Mahammad Qureshi and Syed Hassan. The hard hitting Hassab made 46 off 31 balls while the patient Qureshi scored 15. Jubir Ahmed from Bangladesh made 14.
In response Deccan Hyderabad scored a powerful 118/2 off just 10.4 overs. Habib made 63 off 28 balls and Kamran Syed 25 off 20 balls. The teo added 54 runs in just 5.1 overs which laid the platform for the victory.
