Opening batsman Hanif Lalla was the star of the show for Chicago Catchers as they defeated Noor by seven runs in a high scoring encounter at Warren Park on Chicago.
Lalla struck 13 sixes and six fours off 55 balls to take his team to 184/2 off their allotted 15 overs in their 2023 Chicago MCL Cup match against Noor.
Noor in response made a gallant attempt to get the runs but fell short at 177/6 – losing the match by 7 runs.
Getting runs for Noor were Mauzam Shah 51 and Ansar Khan 25 not out. Abdul Khan got 26 at the top. The best of the bowlers for Catchers was Shriyas who nabbed 2/28.
