SUNRISE/FL – USA: The Universe Boss how has an acre and a half piece of real estate in Orange County close to Disney World because of his wonderful batting at the US Open T20 tournament in Fort Lauderdale over the weekend.
Gayle’s batting allowed the Atlanta Param Veers to win the 2020 edition of the US Open T20 tournament at the Central Broward Regional Park in Fort Lauderdale Sunday.
He scored 49 to lead Atlanta to 182/6 off their allotted 20 overs and 22 Yards responded with 172/7. He also had 65 in the semi-finals and 39 in the prelims. He was adjudged best batsman of the tournament and CEO of the Maq Group Mahammad Qureshi decided to present him with a reward of an acre and a half of land in Orange County.
According to Qureshi: “We are very happy with the fact that Chris came here and played in our tournament. He did a lot for the tournament by being involved and as the top batsman, I decided to give him this piece of land where he can now build a wonderful house close to Disney.
“We reward players for their good work at our tournament and it gives me great pleasure in presenting the rewards. We encourage more top players from around the world to come and take part in this tournament as we look to continue to build it.”
Qureshi also presented a similar reward to fast bowler Muhammad Ali Khan who was adjudged the best bowler of the tournament. Ali who plays for the Trinbago Knight Riders had a best performance of 4/25 against Atlanta in the semis.
Atlanta Param Veers walked away with the winner’s purse of US$50,000 for their 10-run victory in the final against 22 Yards.
