The inaugural Dubai Legends Cup will take place from September 26 to October 1 at the Ocean cricket ground in Dubai from September 26 to October 1.
This is the news coming from Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) the organisers of the tournament. The tournament will see four teams vying for the title namely UAE, USA, Pakistan and West Indies. The matches will be played as 20 over games and is expected to create tremendous excitement. The West Indies team having won the Legends World Cup back to back in 2021 and 2022 will start as favourites to win the title.
The winner of the tournament will pocked AED5000 with the runners up taking away AED2500. Chairman of CCUSA Mahammad Qureshi says that this tournament will do a lot for masters cricket. “We are hoping to give masters cricket a boost in the UAE. We want to keep those former players interested in the sport and hence we have been keeping these tournaments around the world. We are also heading to Grenada later in the year for another masters tournament.”
