BOCA RATON/FL – USA: As cricket continues to build in the United States, Cricket Council USA continues to assist and this time they have sanctioned yet another tournament, the California Cup.Chairman of CCUSA Mahammad Qureshi said these tournaments are important in unearthing new talent so his organization has decided to sanction it. 

“We have been the most stable cricket organization for the past two decades in the USA and we continue to put cricket first. This tournament is of high quality and the organizers have presented to us their plans for a safe tournament, with all Covid 19 protocols in place. “As a result, we have decided to sanction it as we have been doing for other tournaments across the country.

Our officers at CCUSA will continue to monitor the preparations and the tournament when it bowls off to ensure it is of a high standard and all agreements are met.”The tournament will take place from June 4 to 5 in Irvine, California. Qureshi closed off by saying that building cricket in the West of the country is critical as it is a great catchment area and he wishes all the players all the best.
