The runners up of 11th edition of the renowned US Open T-20 cricket tournament organized annually by CCUSA, Atlanta Fire, demonstrated impeccable cricketing skills throughout the tournament as registered their first win on December 19th against GA Spartanz winning the match by 30 runs. In the next match against Florida Scorpions, they won the game in a dominant fashion by 6 wickets.
Despite the unpredictability of Florida’s weather, CCUSA still managed to complete all matches of the tournament and Atlanta Fire seemed unshakeable with continuous interruption of the weather during the games; as such, they clinched their third victory against Silicon Valley X by 9 wickets. Furthermore, they continued their winning streak winning by 8 wickets against Punjab CC in the third quarterfinal of the US Open T-20 Cricket.
More interestingly, in the second semi-final of the tournament between Multan Sultans and Atlanta Fire, Atlanta Fire caused a major upset of the tournament by beating the most followed and strong team of this year’s US Open: Multan Sultans that comprised of players from PSL and US All Stars. Atlanta Fire booked their place in the final winning by 8 runs against Multan Sultans. However, their winning streak ended against Somerset Cavaliers who won the tournament by 10 wickets.
