ORLANDO/FL – USA: Samih Sadiq one of the top players from Orlando Stars says that the USA Cricket has to learn from Mahammad Qureshi the chairman and CEO of Cricket Council USA (CCUSA).

Sadiq was one of the lucky players who was able to get back into the playing field because of the Maq T10 cricket league which started on June 7.

Speaking to 925 News Sadiq said: “CCUSA has always been a leader for organizing cricket around the nation. We are blessed to be part of this cricket family. They always provide us the opportunity to display our talent.

Maq’s administration has been exceptional. I think other organizations and the US board should learn from him how it is done.”

During the pandemic, Qureshi insisted that work take place behind the scenes so that cricket can come back. On June 7 CCUSA became the first cricket body in the Americas to bring back cricket since the lockdown started. Now there will be the Maq T10 league every Sunday for a while, as players continue to get the chance to play the game.

Sadiq said it took him a while to come to terms with being on the field again. “It actually took few minutes to feel that we are really on the field to play some competitive cricket. During the Covid 19

I watch some tutorials online about power hitting. I implemented those changes during the Maq T10 and it worked for me. I look forward to playing some more tournaments this year. Especially the biggest national tournament which is the US Open T20. I really enjoy that tournament because it is very competitive and I get to meet all the players from all over the world.”

Sadiq will be hoping to star at the tournament. “I am looking forward to the US Open T20. My top performance was at a 40-over local game where I scored 207 not out. Other than that I remember scoring a 100 at central Broward Regional Park during the College cricket tournament. I am hoping to do great things at the US Open T20.”
