BOCA RATON/FL – USA: Hard-hitting all-rounder Zishawn Qureshi was back among the runs on Sunday hitting 54 for Maq Stars but this could not help them stave off defeat at the hands of Tigers at the Maq Stadium in Delray Beach, Florida.
Qureshi did not have the best of times at the US Open T20 getting a highest of 21 but did well with the ball. Sunday he clobbered the Tigers attack to all parts of the ground in scoring a rapid half-century that will now give him confidence as he continues to build his game in the New Year.
Speaking after his effort he said: “I am not fully fit so getting runs really felt good. At times during the US Open T20 I rushed things a bit and this proved my downfall. At the moment I am just looking to work on building an innings and then looking to attack later on.”
SCORES
Maq Stars 144/5 (20) (Zishawn Qureshi 54, Zaheer Khan 49, M Khan 2/30) vs 145/6 (18) – Maq Stars won by 4 wkts.
