President’s Cup carded for Feb 18

TAMPA/FL – USA: The annual Major Cricket League (MCL) President’s Cup 2022 tournament will take place from February 18 to 20 in Pasco County in Tampa.

This tournament falls under the umbrella of Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) and will be the second of his kind in the US. The tournament is the first that will be held by CCUSA for the new year and all teams are invited to take part. Those who are interested in taking part in the tournament can get in by visiting CCUSA’s website cricketcouncilusa.com. The cost of coming on board the tournament has been set at $1,000.

Chairman of CCUSA Mahammad Qureshi says that the tournament is one that is expected to lift cricket in the Tampa area. “We are looking forward to this tournament. It will be our first for the new year, as we look to push our agenda to build cricket in the United States. We had a really successful US Open 2021 tournament and coming off that we are expecting a really good President’s Cup. We have seen the results of this tournament being held in Tampa already and we are looking forward to seeing greater growth in the area.” The tournament will see eight teams vying for cash prizes.
