BOCA RATON/FL – USA: Chairman of the Maq Group and Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) Mahammad Qureshi is wishing everyone Eid Mubarak at this auspicious time.

In his Eid message the top businessman and cricket administrator reminded all to live together as one to battle any problems that may come their way. He said the world was shaken up by the Covid 19 and the reason it is now coming out of the pandemic is because people stuck together, held hands and battled on a united front.

According to Qureshi: “Eid is seen as a spiritual celebration of Allah’s provision of strength and endurance. This is what he bestowed upon us all and that is why we are here to celebrate Eid this year. Let’s continue to be strong in our belief, our faith and look ahead in a positive manner to achieve what we want.”

Qureshi who has helped hundreds of people through business ventures and sports added: “Amid the reflection and rejoicing, Eid al-Fitr is a time for charity, known as Zakat al-Fitr. Eid is meant to be a time of joy and blessing for the entire Muslim community and a time for distributing one’s wealth.

“We must live in this way not only for this period but everyday of our lives. We must extend our hand to assist the needy and see the good in people.”

Finally he had some words of advice for cricketers. “To all my cricketers and cricket stakeholders here in America, let’s work together for the betterment of cricket in America and not for selfish gains. One would learn from the Holy Quran that one must be selfless and this is what we should practice in looking to develop America through sport.”
