BOCA RATON/FL – USA: No one would be left out is the word coming from chairman of Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) Mahammad Qureshi and women cricketers will now get a chance to play Maq Cricket59 from March 13 to 15 at the Maq Cricket Stadium and the Central Broward Regional Park.
Called the Women Champions League, interested players can register now at www.cricket59.com. The cost of registering for this event is $10 and you pay a further $10 to play. You will be provided with a Maq Cricket59 jersey and a chance to play to get your name into the Cricket59 system.
The Maq Cricket59 system is one where the player’s performances will be recorded and stored, so it is always there to be seen. According to Qureshi: “We are all-inclusive so we want everyone to play in our format. We have three days set aside in March for the ladies to play and we are hoping that they take advantage of the opportunity. They can go online and register and once that commitment is there, they will be put into the system.
“We are arranging four teams the Reds, Blues, Greens and Yellows to take part over the three days. The unique thing about our tournament is that you can play for two teams in one game. This will be recorded as two matches for you. We are excited about this new concept and it has made a very successful start.
Over the three days of cricket for the women, their performances will be recorded and there will be a champion in the end.”
