There will be a star-studded T20 clash on Maqtv on Saturday evening from 5.30pm Eastern time, as a charity clash at the Queen’s Park Oval will bowl off a new content project for Maqtv called Maqtv Caribbean.

As Trinidad and Tobago grapples with fresh flooding across the Southland, the nation’s top cricketers are hoping for good weather, so that they can take to the field to raise funds of those affected.

Two weeks ago, massive flooding affected citizens and many of them lost all their possessions. The cricketers under the ‘Cricket with a Heart’ foundation decided to play this match at the Queen’s Park Oval on Saturday evening at 6.30pm to raise funds. The Red Force cricketers had already done their part in donating their match fees from the abandoned Canada clash to the victims.

The North versus South clash will see players of the calibre of Keiron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin, Nicolas Pooran, Lendl Simmons, Evin Lewis, Jason Mohammed  and Sunil Narine. The game, a T20 clash is expected to renew the North/South rivalry as well and the players are taking this match very seriously.

Chairman of Maqtv Mahammad Qureshi is thrilled about this project. “We are very happy that we are able to show this game on Maqtv on Saturday evening. It will be good entertainment on Maqtv for all our viewers, as we look to get fresh content out there.

“This is good work by our Maqtv director for the Caribbean Vinode Mamchan. He will also be working on many more projects from that part of the world to bring good quality content to our channel. I want to welcome Maqtv Caribbean under our Maqtv umbrella and wish the guys all the success.”
