Qureshi stars as Maq Cricket59 comes to US

BOCA RATON/FL – USA: Chairman of Cricket Council (CCUSA) Mahmmad Qureshi starred with both bat and ball, as the first day of Maq Cricket59 to be played in the United States came off as a tremendous success.
A good turn out was evident at the Maq Cricket Stadium in Boca Raton to witness the Maq Cricket59, which is a 59-ball encounter. Two matches were played on the day and Qureshi had scores of 44 and 18 and also grabbed two wickets for just 13 runs.
In the first game of the day Yellows batted first and made 103 for six off their 59 balls. Zilfiquar Azeem top scored with 35, while A Rehan made 25. A Marlon was the pick of the bowlers with 3/14. Blues in response made 92/3 with A Brown hitting 60, while Qureshi smacked 18 with three fours.
In the second game Blues took first strike and made 100/2 off their 59 balls with Qureshi hitting a fine unbeaten 44, laced with six boundaries. Qureshi then grabbed two wickets for 13 runs including top scorer Faizan Maqsood but Yellows scraped home by three wickets.
Matches in this league will continue this weekend.
