TAMPA/FL – USA: Zishawn Qureshi continues to enjoy his purple patch with the bat as he starred in the Tampa Premier League (TPL) Super 6 tournament on Saturday taking his team Tigers to the finals only for bad light to prevent the finals from being played.
Qureshi who has been in brilliant form this season took away the top batsman award with four breathtaking knocks that left his peers and opponents in awe. He took Tigers to three victories in their four matches that took them to the finals.
In the first match, the right-hander scored 24 off just six balls with three massive sixes and a four. His effort enabled his team to record a huge 71-run win over Legends.
In the second match he was up to his tricks again, slapping 24 off nine balls with two fours and a six. This effort enabled his team to record a slim four-run win over Royal Renegades.
Match three saw him in good form again as he made 30 off 15 balls with a six. His effort was however not enough as his team lost to Rebels 2 by 26 runs.
A knock of 28 off eight balls came in match four against Rebels, which saw Tigers pull off a 68 run victory over Rebels 1.
In all, he scored 106 runs in the tournament without being dismissed as he retired in all four innings. He scored eight sixes and three fours and faced just 38 balls for his 106 runs. He had an amazing strike rate of 278.95.
