ICC gives green light to US Open

MARGATE/FL – USA: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given the green light for the upcoming US Open T20 tournament which is carded to take place at the Central Broward Cricket Stadium in Sunrise, Fort Lauderdale.

This according to the vice-chairman of Cricket Council USA (CCUSA), Amin Markatia. He said: “The ICC has again approved the US Open T20 tournament and this is fantastic news on the heals of the tournament. CCUSA has always complied with all ICC regulations and we are very happy that they have given the green light.

“They will be sending their anti-corruption guys to meet with officials of the tournament as well as team captains and managers so that all will be briefed with what is required to make the tournament a successful one.”

Markatia is calling on all players and officials to respect the rules set down by the ICC and indicated that CCUSA the parent body for the will not be tolerating any flouting of the ICC regulations.

“We are going to run a very strict tournament and players and team officials must recognize that as we continue to build our tournament to international standards we must adhere to the guidelines set out.”
