MARGATE/FL – USA: Chairman of Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) Mahammad Qureshi has sent out a message warning all cricketers and their families to be careful as some people are taking advantage of the coronavirus situation and looking to rob citizens.
Qureshi said: “Groups of people are dressing in white lab coats and masks, knocking on people’s homes saying they are from the CDC and are there to talk to you about the Coronavirus and test you for the virus … DO NOT, repeat DO NOT let these people in the CDC is not coming to your home to test you – once you let them inside they are robbing you – in some cases even by force – if you see someone at your door in a white lab coat and mask, immediately call 911 .”
Qureshi added it is already bad that the coronavirus has gripped us and now there are people who want to take advantage of citizens when they are vulnerable. We are urging all our cricketers and their families to please take note and be very careful out there.
“I know at this time the cricketers may be agitated at not being able to go to the playing field but there are other things they can do to improve their game while at home. We at MaqTv have beefed up programming in order to give you good content to spend your time, so just be vigilant and be safe.”
